That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s any easier to make it. New York rents are steep and space is at a minimum, all the Me knows 100% that I me me saw who and someone next to that guy and now that guy is dead me killed that guy for sure shirt in addition I really love this more so considering Mayor Bill de Blasio’s proposal to rezone the Garment District and convert manufacturing spaces into office buildings. The inconvenience for the city’s emerging designers would be significant, but there’s reason to be hopeful. Threeasfour’s Gabi, Adi, and Ange have relocated their workroom to Jersey City’s Mana Contemporary, and if they get their way, the giant studio and exhibition space on the other side of the Hudson will soon house a fashion and technology center, where young designers can make use of communal equipment and soak up learnings from their peers. My October trip to Threeasfour’s new space counts as one of my most fortifying fashion moments of the year.

Official Me knows 100% that I me me saw who and someone next to that guy and now that guy is dead me killed that guy for sure shirt

Azzedine Alaïa’s sudden passing was certainly the Me knows 100% that I me me saw who and someone next to that guy and now that guy is dead me killed that guy for sure shirt in addition I really love this saddest. What I’ll remember about him aren’t his shows—because they were staged in Paris off-schedule, I never had the pleasure—but how much he meant to other designers. Ask a design superstar who their icon is these days and more often than not it’s the iconoclastic Alaïa. Colette, the concept store to end all concept stores, has closed its Rue St.-Honoré doors for good after 20 years of launching designers, trends, and, at the end, the idea of complete brand takeovers of the store. From a distance, it feels like the heart of Paris is being ripped out. In fact, it’d be hard not to see its closure as the death knell of brick-and-mortar retail entirely, if it weren’t for the retail renaissance that’s happening nearer by in Manhattan. Laure Hériard Dubreuil’s newly opened Soho outpost of The Webster has got to be one of the prettiest and most inspiring stores I’ve ever stepped into, with Ulla Johnson’s smaller, more intimate, and open-since-the-spring Bleecker Street spot coming in a close second. The love and care that went into these shops is impressive, and they’re showcases for women of extraordinary taste.
